UK supermajor BP and Italian player Eni will jointly explore onshore Block 77 in Oman after signing an exploration and production sharing agreement that has now been finalised with the Omani government, writes Anamaria Deduluesa.
Block 77 covers an area of 2734 square kilometres and is located about 30 kilometres east of the BP-operated Block 61, which is home to the giant Khazzan tight gas field that started production in 2017.
