The British operator is sitting pretty with multi-trillion cubic feet gas reserves in the Terang/Sirasun, Kepodang and Tangguh fields. The first two are earmarked for pipeline exports, while a grassroots domestic liquefied natural gas project is being "seriously considered" for Tangguh.
Sources say the first of these fields to be brought onstream would most likely be Kepodang, which is located on BP's 100%-held Muriah production sharing contract off central Java.
