It wants to build the $500 million project on 40 acres of a 175-acre parcel in Logan Township, along the Delaware River, south of the line in the river separating Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware waters.
BP has disarmed some of the expected local opposition to its Crown Landing LNG regasification plant by siting it between a coal-fired power plant and a chemicals plant, and across the Delaware River from an oil refinery.
