On present form, BP's NW Hutton platform will be the first big jacket-based installation to come out.

Standing in a water depth of 143 metres and with a topsides and jacket weight of 21,000 and 17,000 tonnes respectively, it presents a far bigger decommissioning challenge than any of the steel structures at either of those other two fields.

As BP's Steve Johnston told the NPF decommissioning conference in Bergen earlier this year "this is an industry first, the largest steel jacket removal yet proposed".
