Gambia has signed up UK supermajor BP to deep-water Block A1, located directly south of Senegal’s Sangomar Deep block, which hosts the Woodside Energy-operated SNE field development.
This deal represents “one of the most historic and valuable agreements the country has entered into since independence with the realistic potential to positively transform The Gambia,” said Petroleum & Energy Minister Fafa Sanyang.
