BP is pushing ahead with a new two-well tie-back project to its Andrew platform in the UK North Sea and has awarded Aberdeen-based Rever Offshore a subsea front-end engineering and design contract.
The project is aiming to exploit a Lower Cretaceous section of the Andrew Area located in blocks 16/28 and 16/27a-F1, some 750 metres from the Andrew platform.
According to a supply chain update from the Oil & Gas Authority, BP awarded Rever the deal, valued at less than £10 million ($13 million), on 1 October.
