The BP-led consortium developing the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) oilfield complex in Azerbaijan's Caspian Sea waters has given the green light to its $6 billion Azeri Central East (ACE) expansion project.
The scheme centres on the installation of a major new platform in the giant field complex that originally came on stream in 1997.
The ACE platform will be installed in the Azeri field between the existing Central Azeri and East Azeri platforms.
