The operator has decided to start testing this week before a return to normal operations, a BP Azerbaijan spokeswoman said.

A successful restart of the pipeline would be a big boost for BP in Azerbaijan, where it has been struggling to cope with interruptions to other export routes because of the recent conflict involving Russian and Georgian forces in Georgia.
