BP has ramped up operations in the Eagle Ford shale in the US following its $10.5 billion acquisition of assets from BHP while taking a more cautious approach to its Permian basin acreage, writes Eoin O'Cinneide.
The UK supermajor currently has 10 rigs operating across the two core shale basins, with seven in the Eagle Ford and three in the Permian.
