THE arrest of a former commercial agent for Keppel Fels in Brazil may provide a missing link between the “Car Wash” corruption probe at Petrobras and illegal campaign funding, Brazilian prosecutors believe.
Polish-born Zwi Skornicki — who made his name as an engineer with Odebrecht — has been representing Keppel in Brazil since 1999, when he laid the groundwork for the Singapore group to take over the former Verolme shipyard in Angra dos Reis, initially through a joint venture with Brazil’s Setal group.
