Brazilian authorities are planning to expand the country’s open door or “permanent” licensing mechanism for recycled acreage to include areas within an area currently reserved for pre-salt investments, writes Gareth Chetwynd.
The introduction of the open door mechanism has suffered some delay and so far includes 616 concessions, focused mainly on onshore areas but also including 73 shallow-water blocks and spanning 11 different sedimentary basins.
