Australian junior Buru Energy has struck oil in its Adoxa-1 exploration well in Western Australia’s onshore Canning basin.
Buru revealed earlier this week good to excellent oil shows had been encountered in cuttings samples in what is interpreted to be a good quality sand section at a measured depth of 1443 metres.
It added that live oil had been observed over the shakers at surface and the best oil shows were noted over a roughly 10-metre interval.
