Petrobras has pushed back into January the date for receiving bids to supply a fifth floating production, storage and offloading unit for the Buzios field in Brazil’s Santos basin.

Up to four contractors were poised to submit commercial on 12 December but, with the deadline approaching, the date was pushed back by another month, sources said.

Floater specialists Modec International, Exmar, BW Offshore and possibly Bumi Armada are preparing bids to supply an FPSO with capacity to handle 180,000 barrels of oil and 6 million cubic metres per day of natural gas.
