Production has restarted at the Buzzard oilfield off the UK after a two-week shutdown due to faulty pipework.

“The topsides pipework defect has been repaired and production has safely restarted,” a spokesperson for operator CNOOC Petroleum Europe said midweek.

The spokesperson said output restarted on 25 October.

CNOOC first halted output at the central North Sea field on 10 October to repair the pipework.
