The US-based junior filed a letter of confirmation with the state’s energy department in mid-March and since then began the gravel mining operations for Mine Site E, said a spokesman.
Before the end of the 2015 winter construction season it intends to complete building a two-mile gravel road, 22-acre drill site, and the Ooguruk tie-in pad expansion.
The production facilities are planned for next year.
