Anadarko Petroleum saw production swell in the US Gulf of Mexico in the third quarter as the company ramped up production at its Caesar-Tonga development and tied in new wells at the Marlin and Holstein platforms, writes Kathrine Schmidt.

The US independent reported production averaging 140,000 barrels per day for the region in the month of August and "record" output at Caesar-Tonga after an eighth well was placed on production, the company said in its third-quarter earnings report.
