London-listed independent Cairn Energy aims to revise its contingent resources estimate at the Sangomar Deep licence off Senegal after drillstem tests at an appraisal well on the SNE oil discovery threw up positive results.
The results at the SNE-2 probe and ongoing appraisal work at the oil find led one analyst to envisage a field development that would be commercial even at $40 per barrel.
