Vedanta Group subsidiary Cairn India has approached the Delhi High Court following prolonged delays in obtaining an extension of its flagship production sharing contract onshore Rajasthan, India.
The operator is also seeking what it would regard as a fair price from the government for its production.
The recent move by the company, owned by billionaire Anil Agarwal, represents an urgent attempt to secure an extension of its existing PSC for Block RJ-ON-90/1 that expires in 2020, industry sources said.
