Ghana should review and possibly revoke 12 petroleum agreements for inadequate compliance with their obligations, according to an Accra-based watchdog.

Benjamin Boakye, director of the Africa Centre for Energy Policy, claimed that of 15 active licences only those held by Tullow Oil, Eni and Aker Energy have been fully compliant with their terms and conditions.

He said the operators of the other 12 blocks had failed to "even drill a well".
