Suez Energy North America (Sena)'s executive vice president for business development Paul Cavicchi said the company is considering contracting a purpose-built FSRU of 200,000 cbm-plus for the facility.

Yards have already been contacted for quotes on the unit, which if built would be the largest of its type in existence.

Cavicchi said the alternative for Calypso was to use regasification vessels, similar to those it has chartered in for its Neptune LNG offshore port off the US East Coast in Massachusetts Bay.
