Cameroon President Paul Biya has confirmed Gabriel Dodo Ndoke as his new Minister of Mines, Industries & Technology, presiding over the development of natural resources and overseeing the management of the upstream oil and gas sector, writes Barry Morgan.
Ndoke, 48, represents a new generation of technocrats appointed by the regime, which is still largely populated with octogenarians such as Adolphe Moudike, one of Biya’s oldest loyalists, who remains director general of the national hydrocarbon company SNH.
