When gas and condensates started flowing from the Malvinas base camp in early June, the Pluspetrol-led consortium developing the reserves on block 88, and the Techint-led group that built one of the most challenging pipelines ever seen in the Americas, were both entitled to breathe a sigh of relief.
In the case of the upstream contract, the meeting of all commitments meant the Camisea consortium became entitled to the return of collateral guarantees totalling $99 million.
