According to industry sources, CB&I beat Aker, KBR and Amec and will be awarded an engineering design contract pending final clarifications.
“CB&I is in a good place and in the driving seat but BG has still got a few weeks of evaluation to do. There are still a few items that need to be clarified,” sources said.
Following early engineering work carried out by Aker that covered conceptual and pre-front-end engineering and design work, Jackdaw is now understood to be in the concept select phase, with BG targeting progression to the define phase in the coming months.
