US Delaware basin operator Centennial Resource Development is about to drill a well targeting an untapped carbonate section of the Bone Spring play in West Texas, writes Luke Johnson.
Chief executive Mark Papa, who formerly led EOG Resourcess, said the company plans to start drilling its first Bone Spring probe in Reeves County, Texas, later this month.
The well will target a third Bone Spring carbonate interval that is similar in nature to the Wolfcamp A.
