French seismic giant CGG has won an award from Malaysia’s Petronas Carigali to develop a Centre for Advanced Imaging (CAI) at the state oil giant’s headquarters in Kuala Lumpur.
Under the five-year deal, Petronas will get access to CGG’s latest technology and expertise in high-end seismic and multi-physics imaging, as well as reservoir characterisation.
The centre will be operated by Petronas and will allow both companies to collaborate on research and development.
