CGG Ardiseis is owned 51% by CGG and 49% by Saudi Arabia's Industrialisation&Energy Services Company (Taqa). In the Persian Gulf, CGG Ardiseis will be operated by Argas, a 40-year-old joint venture of CGG and Taqa.
The new subsidiary's work will focus on "Eye-D, the latest CGG technology for full 3D seismic imaging", CGG said. "High productivity onshore vibroseis operations in the Middle East will particularly benefit from this breakthrough technology."
