The 3D data will be acquired over open and awarded deep-water blocks, while the 2D data will be shot over the country’s ultra-deepwater area.
The programme, has already received support from the industry and will be implemented in association with the DGH, Gabon’s oil and gas directorate.
The first phase of the data gathering exercise, covering almost 24,000 square kilometres, is expected to start this quarter and is set to last seven months.
