A new set of guidelines aimed at streamlining the approval of oil and gas exploration and development plans in Mexico went into effect this week after publication in the country’s official diary, writes Kathrine Schmidt.
The changes are based around three goals — optimising deadlines, simplifying requirements and making processes systematic, according to oil regulator the National Hydrocarbons Commission (CNH), which approved the changes in March.
