Implementation of Cameroon’s 2019 Petroleum Code may have to follow specific percentages imposed on local content, despite last month’s enactment allowing for the proportion of indigenous participation to be subject to negotiation, writes Barry Morgan.
The law has just been signed by President Paul Biya and officially promulgated with state oil company SNH, charged to promote the new dispensation to attract investment, a senior advisor to the Ministry of Mines & Industry said.
