Chariot Oil & Gas is planning to drill its Prospect-S target on Block PEL-71 off Namibia before the end of October, deploying the sixth generation drillship Ocean Rig Poseidon, writes Barry Morgan.
Prospect-S extends over 16,000 square kilometres and is strategically located “to test multiple zones including Aptian, Albian and Cenomanian-Turonian targets and, if successful, will unlock significant value as we have a considerable stable of analogous drill-ready prospects within this licence and across our licence portfolio,” said David Sturt, managing director of block partner Azinam.
