Some Super Puma passenger flights have been made off the UK since the Step Change in Safety’s Helicopter Safety Steering Group lifted its recommendation on their grounding a week ago. However, much of the UK North Sea fleet remains out of position following the 23 August accident off Sumburgh, which left four oil workers dead.

CHC was operator of the Super Puma AS332 L2 that crashed about three kilometres from shore in an incident that also saw 12 oil workers and two crews members survive.
