The US liquefied natural gas specialist received the official estimate for the project from front-end engineering and design contractor Bechtel earlier this month and just released it in an updated presentation.
Bechtel estimated Cheniere could build the proposed three-train terminal with a maximum capacity of about 13.5 million tonnes of LNG per year for about $800 per tonne. The figure does not include financing costs.
