US supermajor Chevron has started production from two new wells at its onshore Jalalabad gas field in Bangladesh, helping the country to alleviate its burgeoning supply deficit.
Chevron will produce a combined 130 million cubic feet per day from the prolific JB-6 and JB-7 wells, while the JB-8 well is due to be brought on stream in the first quarter of 2016.
