US SUPERMAJOR Chevron has killed off its planned Buckskin and Moccasin developments in the ultra-deepwater Gulf of Mexico, marking the end of a significant project that has gone through several incarnations over a number of years.
Multiple sources said Chevron has decided not to go ahead with the project in the far reaches of Keathley Canyon in the US Gulf. The project has been cancelled, not delayed.
