US supermajor Chevron has expessed disappointment about the Western Australian state government’s move to launch an enquiry into greenhouse gas emissions from its A$45 billion (US$34 billion) Wheatstone liquefied natural gas project that started commercial operations just three months ago, writes Amanda Battersby.
Western Australia’s Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) has received a request from the state's Environment Minister, Stephen Dawson, to inquire into changing implementation conditions for greenhouse gas emissions from Wheatstone, which is located 12 kilometres south-west of Onslow.
