Chevron has formally started the front-end engineering and design phase on its Anchor oil and gas project in the deep-water US Gulf of Mexico, potentially the region’s first major ultra-high-pressure, high-temperature project rated for pressures of up to 20,000 psi.
Upstream understands that UK-based Wood is carrying out subsea FEED work on the semi-submersible floater-based project, building on an already-secured topsides FEED contract.
