Chevron has picked Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering as its contractor to build the hull of a potential semi-submersible production facility to produce from its Anchor discovery in the deep-water US Gulf of Mexico.
The US supermajor is expected to take a final investment decision on the project, which is currently in the front-end engineering and design phase, late this year or early next year, according to market sources.
