Chevron has teamed up with US charity the Open Goal Project to give children and young adults in California the chance to hone their footballing skills.

The Chevron Soccer Academy will see boys and girls aged between nine and 18 put through their paces by former professionals at training camps in the US supermajor’s home state.

Apart from brushing up on finishing, balls skills, agility and fitness, the children will also be put through the Chevron STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) Zone, which is “designed to inspire learning through the science of soccer”, Chevron says.
