Bangladesh state-owned company Petrobangla has blocked payments to Chevron for produced gas totalling more than $50 million after a court ruled the US supermajor had not fulfilled conditions of an employee profits participation programme, writes Amanda Battersby.
The withheld cahs will be used to pay Chevron workers in Bangladesh who are entitled to payments from the Workers’ Profit Participation Fund.
