Chevron has won approval in the US for plans for further exploration at the three key Gulf of Mexico discoveries of Tiber, Gila and Anchor, with work targeted to start as soon as this quarter on up to three wells in 2016.
The US supermajor has not yet landed specific well permits on the blocks, but the last of the EP trio cleared in the final weeks of 2015.
