The new injector, which will likely be drilled in the new year, will aid in staving off historically steep depletion rates at the field, which has been on line since 2009.
The operator is still working to optimise the well placement of the third injector by evaluating the reservoir data, incorporating future well plans and simulating the reservoir performance with the new well.
