US supermajor Chevron is planning this month to shut-in Train 2 at its Gorgon liquefied natural gas project in Australia for a scheduled maintenance upgrade.
“We have a planned pit-stop on Gorgon Train 2 to replicate performance improvement modifications that we have made in the other two trains,” said Chevron chief financial officer Patricia Yarrington.
It is not known for how long the shutdown will last.
