Chevron is marketing a large ­asset package in Michigan in the US that is prospective for the so-far frustrating Collingwood Shale play.

The US supermajor has bundled up drilling rights to more than 102,000 gross acres (about 63,000 net) spanning Antrim, Kalkaska, Otsego and Charlevoix counties at the northern tip of the state.

A company spokesman confirmed that Chevron was looking for a buyer for the package.
