CHEVRON is considering a major new unconventional development at its ageing El Trapial concession in Argentina after encouraging early exploration tests.
The US supermajor has evaluated the results of four unconventional wells drilled in the play and sized up a resource estimate of some 1 billion barrels of oil equivalent recoverable, according to Ricardo Aguirre, commercial and business planning manager for Chevron Argentina.
