US supermajor Chevron has won approval from UK authorities for its Captain development plan as it looks to move ahead with phase one of this enhanced oil recovery project in the UK central North Sea, writes Rob Watts.
The consent from the Oil & Gas Authority (OGA) will allow Chevron to press ahead with the deployment of new polymer injection technology for the first time on the UK continental shelf.
