Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL) and a subsidiary of Shapoorji Pallonji have received approval for their proposed 5 million tonnes per annum Chhara liquefied natural gas import project in India, writes Amanda Battersby.
Chhara could be the fourth land-based LNG receiving and regasification project in the west coast state of Gujarat if it goes ahead, albeit one that was initially targeting start-up in 2019.
