Two liquefied natural gas receiving terminals have been commissioned in China — in Guangdong in the south and Zhejiang province in the east, writes Xu Yihe.

China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) has started operations at its LNG terminal in Guangdong's Shenzhen city, with a 93,000-tonne commissioning cargo from Qatargas.

The terminal, CNOOC’s ninth, has four 160,000 cubic metre storage tanks and a jetty able to handle LNG carriers of up to 266,000 cubic metres.
