Chinese yard Bomesc Offshore Engineering is poised to land a major contract from SBM Offshore covering topsides fabrication and integration work on the second floating production, storage and offloading vessel being built under the Dutch floater specialist's Fast4Ward programme.
The hull for this Fast4Ward unit is being built at Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding (SWS).
Industry officials said SBM has already signed a memorandum of understanding with the yard in Tianjin in northern China covering the topsides and integration workscope.
