Russia’s Novatek is set to invite a pair of Chinese yards back into the race to build modules for its Arctic LNG 2 liquefied natural gas project in West Siberia after their earlier bids were rejected for being too high.
Industry officials said Offshore Oil Engineering Company (COOEC) and China Petroleum Offshore Engineering (CPOE) will be invited back, with sources saying that COOEC at least is considering cutting its price offer.
