Apache chief executive John Christmann has highlighted the importance of investment in midstream assets to ensure that surging production in the Permian basin of Texas and New Mexico finds the most economic outlet, writes Caroline Evans.
"There are a lot of companies out there drilling wells without any idea or thought about what they're going to do on the product side," Christmann told Upstream in an exclusive interview.
